Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will be getting the band back together in Hammerstone Studios and Orion’s Bill & Ted Face the Music, which will also star Samara Weaving (Mayhem) as Thea Preston, Bill’s daughter, with Brigette Lundy-Paine ("Atypical") as Billie Logan, Ted’s daughter! Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) and actor Anthony Carrigan are also on board.
THR reports that Carrigan will be playing the film’s villain, and is described as "the duo’s relentless adversary." Carrigan currently plays NoHo Hank on HBO’s "Barry" and previously played Victor Zsasz on "Gotham."
We also recently learned that William Sadler, who played the Grim Reaper in 1991 sequel Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, will be reprising the role in the new film.
"Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends."
Directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) from a screenplay by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, production on Bill & Ted Face the Music is set to begin this summer!
Bill & Ted will return on April 21st, 2020.
