After bringing the world to an end in its apocalyptic eighth season, "American Horror Story" will next pay tribute to '80s slasher movies in its ninth season, titled "1984".
Mark your calendar, as we’ve learned via THR that "AHS: 1984" will premiere on Wednesday, September 18th!
We don't know much else about Season 9 at this time, other than it will obviously be set in 1984 and Emma Roberts will be back, starring alongside Olympic medalist Gus Kenworthy.
We've also learned that Evan Peters will not be returning for this season.
American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy previously announced the ninth season's title in an Instagram video (see below), which features a woman fleeing from a masked assailant, capturing that retro slasher vibe.
