Metallica's Kirk Hammett Has Been Monsterfied As Universal Monsters For New Funko Pop! Line

Kirk Hammett Universal Monsters Funko Pop

It's rather well known fact among horror and metal aficionados that Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett is a huge horror fanatic, especially that of the original Universal Monsters. He plays guitars that feature the classic monsters and has an extensive collection of rare and original posters for the films.

Now, Funko is giving the guitar legend his own Pop! line in which they reimagine Hammett as two Universal Monsters: Frankenstein's Monster and The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

The two limited figures will be the first in the new "The Kirk Hammett Collection", which will most likely expand to see Hammett monsterfied as Dragula, The Wolf Man, and possibly The Mummy.

Funko writes: "Alright, Hammett Funatics! It's official! The Pops! are in, and the Bossman loves 'em! He can't wait until they're out at the Royal Ontario Museum this summer."

Let it be known that these are not going to be available online, and they will not be at the Royal Ontario Museum until July 13th, 2019 with limited inventory. They are being sold exclusively as part of the It's Alive exhibit, and limited to one per person.

The figures will only be available for sale in ROMStore starting on Member Preview day, July 12th and public opening July 13th onwards.
