We've got your first look at Claes Bang (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) as the title character in BBC and Netflix’s upcoming "Dracula" series. Bang will star alongside a previously announced cast that includes John Heffernan, Dolly Wells, Joanna Scanlan, Morfydd Clark and Lujza Richter.
Jonny Campbell ("Westworld") directed the opening installment with Damon Thomas ("Killing Eve") and Paul McGuigan ("Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool") helming Episodes 2 and 3, respectively.
Written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the brand new mini-series is inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel and will re-introduce the world to Dracula.
“In Transylvania in 1897, the blood drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London.”
The series will consist of three 90-minute episodes and is set to launch in late 2019 or in 2020.
Executive producers are Gatiss, Moffat and Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films, Ben Irving for BBC and it will be handled by Larry Tanz for Netflix.
