Jamie Bernadette ("NCIS New Orleans", I Spit On Your Grave Déjà Vu) will star in the recently-announced Ash and Bone, Crypt Teaze learned. Bernadette will replace the previously announced Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie's Halloween).
In Ash and Bone, Cassie Vanderbilt (Angelina Danielle Cama) is a rebellious teen whose wild streak escalates as her caring father Lucas (Harley Wallen), decides to take her and his new wife Sarah (Kaiti Wallen), out of the city for some bonding and quality time together. But after Cassie crosses the infamous McKinley family, played by Jimmy Doom and Erika Hoveland, it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment.
The film is directed by Harley Wallen (Betrayed) and written by Bret Miller (Some Are Born). Mel Novak (Bruce Lee's Game of Death) also stars in Painted Creek Productions, Cama Productions and Auburn Moon’s Ash and Bone. Calhoun Koenig ("Law & Order SVU") and Shane Hagedorn (Wild Faith) round out the cast.
"I wanted to make a horror return to House of Wax and Texas Chain Saw Massacre-style of films," said Wallen, who also adds "with a bit of a Rob Zombie feel and the imagery of Alex Gasparetto."
Ash and Bone recently completed principal photography. Annett Cama executive produces and Nancy Oeswein is assistant producer.
