Marilyn Manson Will Star In The New Adaptation Of Stephen King's 'The Stand'

Marilyn Manson Stephen King The Stand Series

Back in January, CBS All Access gave a 10-episode order to a series adaptation of Stephen King‘s 1978 novel "The Stand," with Josh Boone directing and co-writing script alongside Ben Cavell. The series is set to star James Marsden, Amber Heard, Whoopi Goldberg, Greg Kinnear, Odessa Young, Henry Zaga, and today we've learned that Marilyn Manson will also star!

In a recent interview with Revolver, Manson just revealed he'll have a role in the series.

"Shooter [Jennings] and I did a cover of "The End" by the Doors, for a new miniseries of The Stand by Stephen King, which I’m also going to be acting in," Manson told Revolver.

Manson and Jennings are currently working on a collaboration album, which is due out later this year.

The drama will bring to life King’s apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the Dark Man.

Mosaic’s Jimmy Miller and Richard P. Rubinstein are set to executive produce.
