During last year's Comic-Con it was announced that the company Atomic Toybox was working on a reboot of 1978’s cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. An official website was even launched for the film at that time. It's been quite some time since we heard any sort of update about the reboot, but we've learned this week that filming is now underway!
Director Dustin Ferguson (Amityville: Evil Never Dies, Moon of the Blood Beast, upcoming Direct to Video: Straight to Video Horror of the 90s) announced over on Facebook today, "Today I direct the first attack scene for the “Attack of The Killer Tomatoes” reboot!!! This has been a long time coming and I couldn’t be more honored!"
