Yesterday, John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis and others behind last year's Halloween confirmed not one but two sequels are on the way, with Universal Pictures and Blumhouse shooting the next two Halloween films back-to-back, while also announcing the films’ titles as Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
Of course, there's been a lot of speculation as to what the titles actually mean, but the folks at Cavitycolors have decided to have a little fun with the latter. Below you can check out their very creative and stunning fan art that imagines a Halloween universe in which, "underneath Michael’s super strong, highly durable exterior, there’s just a bunch of rotten old pumpkin guts intertwined with semi-human organs and blood." Let's hope this design gets approved for future shirts or even posters, as I'd love to have this on my body and horror room wall!
In case you missed the news, the battle between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode will continue next year and the following year with Halloween Kills in October 2020 and Halloween Ends in October 2021! Halloween Kills will release in theaters on October 16th, 2020, followed by Halloween Ends on October 15th, 2021. Jamie Lee Curtis is on board to star in both! David Gordon Green will be directing both films and co-wrote the Halloween Kills script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems, and the Halloween Ends script with McBride.
Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier. Blumhouse is once again teaming up with Universal Pictures, Trancas International Films, and Miramax to bring the new Halloween movies to life.
Carpenter is once again involved, hopefully he'll be providing brand new scores for both films.
