Back in May, we told you that one of Adam Sandler‘s upcoming Netflix projects would be the tentatively titled Halloween-themed comedic murder mystery, Hubie Halloween.
Deadline has now let us know that the film's cast includes Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Maya Rudolph, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Michael Chiklis, and Kenan Thompson.
“The plot follows Hubie Dubois (Sandler) who, despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it’s up to Hubie to save Halloween.”
Steven Brill, who also helmed the Sandler-starring Little Nicky, will direct from a script written by Sandler and longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy.
Hubie Halloween's massive cast also includes China Anne McClain, Paris Berelc, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, June Squibb, Shaquille O’Neal, Karan Brar, Noah Schnapp, Mikey Day, Melissa Villaseñor, Kym Whitley, Lavell Crawford, Betsy Sodaro, George Wallace, and Blake Clark.
Sandler’s company, Happy Madison, will produce alongside Netflix.
