Nick Castle Will Return As Michael Myers In 'Halloween Kills' And 'Halloween Ends'

Nick Castle Returns Halloween Kills Halloween Ends

There was one big piece of information missing from Universal Pictures’ announcement that David Gordon Green would return to direct Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends back-to-back starting this September. The original press release included the film's release dates, the writers and all of the producers, but it failed to mention who'd be playing Michael Myers or any other cast members (even though we know that Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak will return). Bringing an end to speculation, Nick Castle this morning tweeted confirmation that he'll be donning the mask for the final two films in this storyline, which will conclude on October 16th, 2020, and October 15th, 2021, respectively.

Castle also let fans know that James Jude Courtney will return as Michael: "Big Game James still got the torch!" he tweeted.

Green co-wrote the Halloween Kills script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems, and the Halloween Ends script with McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier.

As Halloween Ends' title suggests, Green promised that we'll see a conclusion to this Michael/Laurie saga in two years earlier this week.

Blumhouse is once again teaming up with Universal Pictures, Trancas International Films, and Miramax to bring the new Halloween movies to life.

John Carpenter is once again involved, so hopefully he'll be providing brand new scores for both films.
