An Extended 4-Hour Version Of 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' Reportedly Coming To Netflix

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood 4 Hour Netflix

An extended version of Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight made its way to Netflix earlier this year, and reports have been circulating around the web this week that Tarantino is planning to give Once Upon a Time in Hollywood a similar treatment in the future. And the rumors are stating that the extended cut is 4 hours long!

As those of you who have already seen the film know, Tim Roth had his scenes entirely cut from the film, as did James Marsden, who played Burt Reynolds, was also cut from the film. Damon Herriman had also recently noted that his performance as Charles Manson was ultimately cut short. But it turns out that there may just been more truth to this rumor than fiction, as Birth.Movies.Death. brings some validity to this 4-hour cut of the film today.

On a recent episode of The Mutuals podcast, actor Nicholas Hammond (who plays Sam Wanamaker) said the filmmaker will likely deliver the extended cut to Netflix:

"The promise is that like his other film, The Hateful Eight, they just done a 4-hour Netflix version. And I think they’re talking about doing the same. There are some actors like Tim Roth, wonderful actors, who never even made it into the film. I mean, their entire roles got cut."

It will probably be a few years for this version of the film to make its way to the streaming service, so get out there and see the current theatrical version of Tarantino’s ninth film, which runs 2 hours, 45 minutes long.
