Fulci Lives!
Blue Underground has recently restored Zombie, Maniac, The New York Ripper, and Two Evil Eyes in 4K and given them stunning 3-disc limited edition releases, and they’ve announced their next restoration will be Lucio Fulci's The House by the Cemetery!
Directed by the Italian maestro and released in 1981, the film centers a New England home that's terrorized by a series of murders, unbeknownst to the guests, a gruesome secret is hiding in the basement.
"We just had our first look at the work-in-progress and it is absolutely GORE-geous!!" Blue Underground announced over on their Facebook this week. They added, "More info soon."
Let's hope that City of the Living Dead and The Beyond get the same treatment, so we can have the entire "Gates of Hell Trilogy" packaged up in these glorious limited edition sets.
