The creepiest, kookiest, and altogether ookiest first family of Halloween is moving to New Jersey in this October's animated The Addams Family, which features character designs based the original drawings from Charles Addams, and as promised last week, the full trailer has been released today.
Redefining what it means to be a good neighbor, the new film sees the family taking on suburbia. Of course, they don't really fit in. Not even in New Jersey.
Be sure to watch the trailer until the end for an appearance from Cousin Itt, voiced by Snoop Dogg?!
The outlandish comedy introduces Charlize Theron as Morticia, Oscar Isaac as Gomez, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Grandmama, and Allison Janney as the antagonist Margaux Needler, and Elsie Fisher as Parker Needler, the daughter of Margaux.
The film follows the family as they face-off against a crafty reality TV host (Janney) while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration.
Directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan from a script by Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride), with revisions by Matt Lieberman. Vernon produced with Gail Berman and Alex Schwartz. Andrew Mittman and Kevin Miserocchi executive produce.
The film arrives in theaters on October 11th.
