The annual return of the General Mills Monster Cereals is nearly upon us, and the company has announced today that they'll be having a cross-promotion with the upcoming Addams Family animated feature!
Boo Berry, Count Chocula and Franken Berry will return to store shelves in September, with new packaging that promotes the film's October theatrical release.
The partnership includes free Addams Family and Cereal Monsters pumpkin carving stencils, and the back of the cereal boxes show the Monster Cereal characters trick or treating at the Addams house and entices the consumer to "find all 8 tricky mistakes."
"With The Addams Family movie coming out in October, we wanted to partner because of the timeliness with Halloween," said General Mills’ Sarah McCullough. "We thought it would be a fun idea to offer stencils during a time when people are carving pumpkins. We created them so people can interact with our characters and the ones from The Addams Family."
