Tomm Jacobsen, director of the insanely wonderful Dude Bro Party Massacre 3 and the infamous comedy collective 5 Second Films, is back with his first solo project: an intense horror thriller set 40,000 years ago during the extinction of the Neanderthals.
Titled The First Curse, the project promises to be "a brutal vision of horror set before history began," and will begin its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter next week on October 15th.
The short follows a Neanderthal hunter living in the primordial woods of Serbia. On a particularly bitter cold night, humans in crude masks kidnap his pregnant "wife" and bait him into a game of cat and mouse through the trees that end in a moment of terror you will never forget.
While the creative team comes from a comedy background, this short will be anything but funny.
