'Daniel Isn't Real' Trailer Reunites With A Violent Imaginary Friend

Daniel Isn't Real LA Comic Con Trailer

The newest trailer for for Adam Egypt Mortimer‘s (Some Kind of Hate, Holidays) Daniel Isn’t Real has been unveiled out of the ongoing Los Angeles Comic Con. The Patrick Schwarzenegger-starring film will hit limited theaters and VOD platforms on December 6th via Samuel Goldwyn Films.

The trailer carries a heavy Jacob’s Ladder vibe and looks to be a total psychological mindfuck. Watch it below!

In the film, co-written by Mortimer and Brian DeLeeuw and based on DeLeeuw’s book In This Way I Was Saved, troubled college freshman Luke (Miles Robbins) suffers a violent family trauma and resurrects his childhood imaginary friend Daniel (Schwarzenegger) to help him cope. Charismatic and full of manic energy, Daniel helps Luke to achieve his dreams, before pushing him to the very edge of sanity and into a desperate struggle for control of his mind, and his soul.

Sasha Lane, Hannah Marks and Mary Stuart Masterson also star.

Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller, Lisa Whalen and Elijah Wood produced the film. Daniel Isn't Real will begin streaming on Shudder at a later date.
