Miko Hughes Dylan's New Nightmare Fan Film

With so many Friday the 13th fan films being created lately it's about time that Freddy got some love!

We've seen franchise stars Thom Mathews, C.J. Graham, Steve Dash and Ari Lehman return in recent Friday the 13th fan films, and we've now learned that a member of the Nightmare on Elm Street alumni will star in an upcoming fan film, as Miko Hughes, who played Dylan Porter in Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, will star in Dylan’s New Nightmare!

Fans may also recognize Hughes from his role as the original Gage Creed in Mary Lambert's 1989’s Pet Sematary.

Dylan's New Nightmare acts as an unofficial sequel to New Nightmare, one of the most unique and high concept installments to the Elm Street franchise.

This short film picks up 25 years after the events of New Nightmare and follows Dylan Porter (Miko Hughes), the young son of Heather Langenkamp, now a grown man trying to make his way in the world his parents raised him in—Hollywood. Little does he know that the evil entity known as Freddy Krueger is back, and eager to once again break into our world through the son of his favorite victim!

Dylan’s New Nightmare will be written, directed and produced by Cecil Laird. Vincente DiSanti (Never Hike Alone) will also produce.

The film is currently funding on Indiegogo with some amazing perks up for grabs, from Blu-ray and VHS copies of the film to screen-used props to producer credits. If you're a Elm Street fan who can't wait for another film in the franchise (official or not), we urge you to head on over to the campaign page and contribute!
