David Duchovny Joins The Cast Of Blumhouse's 'The Craft' Remake

David Duchovny The Craft Remake

Back in March, we learned that Zoe Lister-Jones (Band Aid) is writing and directing a remake of Andrew Fleming's witchy classic The Craft for Blumhouse, Red Wagon and Sony. It was also recently reported that Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Gideon Adlon ("The Society"), Lovie Simone (Selah and the Spades) and Zoey Luna (15: A Quinceañera Story) will be taking on the roles of the main characters in the film.

We've now learned (via Deadline) that "The X-Files" star David Duchovny will also have a starring role!

Nicholas Galitzine ("Chambers") will also star.

Jason Blum is producing The Craft for Blumhouse along with Oscar-winning producer Douglas Wick, who produced the original film, and Lucy Fisher of Red Wagon Entertainment. Fleming is also on board to executive produce with Lister-Jones.

The original film, which starred Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Christine Taylor, Rachel True, and Skeet Ulrich followed a newcomer at a Catholic prep high school who falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and wage curses against those who tick them off.

Blumhouse and Columbia Pictures are co-financing the film.
