Tammy and the T-Rex 4K Ultra HD Vinegar Syndrome

Back in July, Vinegar Syndrome announced that they were bringing the "R-rated gore cut" of Stewart Raffill's 1994 cult flick Tammy and the T-Rex to Blu-ray with a brand new 4K restoration and today, the company made the surprise announcement that they'll also be giving the film a 4K Ultra HD release!

Here's what VS had to say regarding the release: "With 4K Ultra HD becoming more and more of a reality in the home video world, we are thrilled to announce that after months of internal debate and research that Tammy and the T-Rex will be available in a UHD edition with Dolby Vision HDR!

We hope that this will be the first of many UHD releases in our future, but now the choice is yours: if you want to see more of the sorts of movies that no one else would dare release in UHD find a home in the format, take your stand and make your opinion known. We feel that the time is now to start bringing the wild and wonderful horror, sleaze, and weirdness you've come to expect from VS to the best possible home."

Important details for the release:

• Tammy will be available in two versions: UHD/BD combo and BD/DVD combo. • 2019 Yearly Subscribers will automatically receive the UHD/BD combo of Tammy. • UHD/BD combo actual sell price will be $35 on our website. • Black Friday flash preorder customers will have the option to upgrade their current BD/DVD combo of Tammy to a UHD/BD combo for $10. Upgrade payment links will be emailed early next week. • Eventually the UHD of Tammy will be available through mass retail, but for now, it will only be available on www.VinegarSyndrome.com for $35 during our Black Friday sale on November 29th.

In Tammy and the T-Rex, starring Denise Richards as Tammy and an animatronic T-Rex, "An evil scientist implants the brain of Michael, a murdered high school student, into an Tyrannosaurus. He escapes, wreaks vengeance on his high school tormentors and is reunited with his sweetheart Tammy."

The late Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious franchise, Joy Ride) also starred in the wonderfully bizarre film! Over 10 minutes of practical gore effects by the legendary John Carl Buechler have been added back into the film. This is the way the film was originally intended to be seen!
