BBC Releases Chilling First Trailer For Claes Bang-Starring "Dracula" Series

Dracula BBC Trailer Claes Bang

"Try and stay calm, you’re doing very well."

BBC has this weekend released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming three-part "Dracula" miniseries, which will premiere on Netflix in the U.S. - though no release date has been set at this time.

Claes Bang (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) takes on the titular role as the legendary vampire and will star alongside John Heffernan, Dolly Wells, Joanna Scanlan, Morfydd Clark and Lujza Richter.

Jonny Campbell ("Westworld") directed the opening installment with Damon Thomas ("Killing Eve") and Paul McGuigan ("Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool") helming Episodes 2 and 3, respectively.

Written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the brand new mini-series is inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel and will re-introduce the world to Dracula.

"In Transylvania in 1897, the blood drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London. This retelling of the classic story follows Dracula from his origins in Eastern Europe to his battles with Van Helsing's descendent and beyond."

The series will consist of three 90-minute episodes and is set to launch in late 2019 or in 2020.

Executive producers are Gatiss, Moffat and Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films, Ben Irving for BBC and it will be handled by Larry Tanz for Netflix.
