A Christmas Carol Trailer BBC

Arriving just in time for the holidays, the creator of "Peaky Blinders" and the producers of "Taboo" have teamed up for BBC and FX's mini-series "A Christmas Carol," which is a haunting new spin on Charles Dickens' classic tale.

The first official trailer has been released for the series that's described as "a haunting, hallucinatory, spine-tingling immersion into Scrooge’s dark night of the soul." Check it out below!

Adapted by "Peaky Blinders" and "Taboo" writer Steven Knight, the new three-part outing sees Guy Pearce take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, with Andy Serkis as the Ghost of Christmas Past. Kayvan Novak (What We Do in the Shadows), Stephen Graham, Joe Alwyn, Charlotte Riley and Vinette Robinson also star.

Ridley Scott and Tom Hardy executive produced, and Nick Murphy (The Awakening) directed all three episodes.

"A Christmas Carol" is coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and FX in the U.S. this December.
