Imagine if Jumanji made you kill people. That’s the impetus behind Game of Death (not to be confused with the 1978 Bruce Lee flick), as a group of millennials find themselves playing a board game where they have to kill (or be killed) to survive. Following the film's World Premiere at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival, we now have an official look at the splattery horror-comedy.
Described as "Jumanji meets Natural Born Killers," Game of Death is "a schlocky gore-horror comedy plump with exploding heads, torrents of blood and torn apart torsos."
In the film, kill or be killed is the golden rule of the Game of Death. Sucks for seven millennials who ignored that rule. Now each one’s head will explode unless they kill someone. Will they turn on each other to survive, or will this sunny day be the last for the innocent people of their middle-of-nowhere town?
Directed by Sebastien Landry and Laurence "Baz" Morais, who both co-wrote with Edouard H. Bond and Philip Kalin-Hajdu, Game of Death stars Sam Earle, Victoria Diamond, Emelia Hellman, Catherine Saindon, Nick Serino, Erniel Baez D., Thomas Vallieres, and Jane Hackett.
