If you missed out on the now out of print Blu-ray release for George Mihalka's 1981 slasher My Bloody Valentine, which included all the deleted gore footage, Scream Factory is presenting fans with another chance to snag the unrated cut of the film with a brand new Collector's Edition Blu-ray!
The company has now detailed the release that'll be arriving just in time for Valentine's Day on February 4th, 2020 in North America (Region A).
Scream Factory states that "New extras and specs are in progress and will be announced on a later date (December, before the holidays or early January) but we can confirm today that we are doing a new transfer of the theatrical and unrated cut of the film!"
This is being presented as a 2-Disc Collector’s Edition and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release. The newly commissioned artwork you see pictured below comes to us from artist Joel Robinson This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the original (and iconic) theatrical artwork.
Pre-orders are now available via Scream Factory with a website exclusive deluxe offer available that includes: an 18” x 24” rolled poster of the new Joel Robinson Art, an alternate slipcover and an 18” x 24” rolled poster that showcases a newly-commissioned illustration from artist Laz Marquez.
