Thus far, R.L. Stine's iconic Goosebumps books have been adapted into two feature films, and his Fear Street books are currently being turned into a movie trilogy, but there's now another Stine-penned book series is making its way to the screen.

Variety lets us know today that HBO Max and Stine are developing an anthology horror series based on Scholastic’s Point Horror book series.

The series comes from Picturestart and Lionsgate Television and is set to be titled "Point Fear."

"It’s described as an anthology series that exposes the horrors of being a teenager. Each episode of the show will be inspired by one of the books in the series, told for today’s audiences but with a nostalgic nod to the 1990s."

Stine will executive produce with Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians) currently in talks to direct.
