Film Movement Picks Up 'A Good Woman Is Hard To Find' For North American Distribution

A Good Woman is Hard to Find Film Movement

Film Movement has bought North American rights to A Good Woman is Hard to Find out of AFM, Variety reports. The film has already been released in the UK and will hit VOD platforms in the U.S. in 2020.

Leslie Melville reviewed the Abner Pastoll (Road Games) directed film out of this year's Fantasia, stating "every scene and character was written and directed so brilliantly."

In the film, a recently widowed mother of two (Sarah Bolger; Emelie) is desperate to know who murdered her husband in front of their young son, rendering him mute. Coerced into helping a low-life drug-dealer stash narcotics stolen from the local Mr. Big, she’s forced to go beyond humanity into taking drastic action to protect her children while learning the awful truth about her spouse.

Pastell directed from a script by Ronan Blaney.

A Good Woman is Hard to Find also stars Edward Hogg ("Taboo"), Andrew Simpson (Notes on a Scandal), Jane Brennan ("Brooklyn"), Packy Lee ("Peaky Blinders"), Caolan Byrne (The Foreigner), and Josh Bolt (Nowhere Boy).
