Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, The Invitation) will direct the pilot episode for Showtime‘s "Yellowjackets," and we now have quite an exciting casting update!
Variety reports that the network has announced that Natural Born Killers and From Dusk Till Dawn star Juliette Lewis and original Addams Family actress Christina Ricci have signed on to star as regulars if the potential series is greenlit.
Lewis and Ricci will star alongside Ella Purnell, Sophie Nélisse, Sammi Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Steven Krueger, Amy Okuda, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress and Jasmin Savoy Brown.
Showtime details: "Yellowjackets chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warring, cannibalistic clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over."
The series was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, who will also executive produce and serve as showrunners. Kusama and Drew Comins of Creative Engine will executive produce. The pilot will be produced for Showtime by eOne.
