A24 sure does love their religious-tingeld horror, don't they? They've now conjured up the first trailer and release details for the Satanic thriller Saint Maud, which looks to be right in line with previous A24 films like The Witch, The Blackcoat's Daughter, Hereditary and Midsommar, with a little bit of Under the Skin thrown in for good measure.
We've learned that the feature directorial debut from Rose Glass will be released in limited theaters on March 27th, 2020, with an expansion to follow shortly thereafter.
The film is described as "a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world."
In the film, Maud (Morfydd Clark), a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul — but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.
Saint Maud also stars Jennifer Ehle, Turlough Convery, Marcus Hutton, and Carl Prekopp.
