Yesterday, we shared with you the first image from the John Krasinski-directed sequel to 2018's suspenseful horror hit A Quiet Place, and following its exclusive debut in theaters this weekend, Paramount Pictures has now released a short teaser for A Quiet Place: Part II.
The teaser sees the return of Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, all reprising their roles from the first film.
Last we saw the Abbott family, their home had been invaded by the extra-terrestrial creatures who hunt using their acute sense of hearing. Krasinski's character, Lee, was killed and Evelyn fought to protect her family, including her newborn child. The teaser shows the family walking slowly to an unknown location, following the sound-dampening sand trail to its end. It's a very effective and tense 30-second teaser!
The official synopsis reads: "Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path."
Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later, "Peaky Blinders") and Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator) will also star in the sequel that John Krasinski both wrote and directed.
Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, and Aaron Janus are executive producing the sequel, with Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski on board as producers.
A Quiet Place: Part II hits theaters on March 20th, 2020.
