Sue Lyon Dead At 73

Beginning her acting career in 1959 with the television series "The Loretta Young Show," model-turned-actress Sue Lyon got her big break playing the title character in Stanley Kubrick’s Oscar-nominated drama Lolita, a role that landed her a Golden Globe. Unfortunately, we've learned the news that Lyon passed away on December 26th 2019 at her home in Los Angeles, she was 73-years-old.

Phil Syracopoulos, a longtime friend, confirmed the news to The New York Times, stating she had been in declining health for some time.

After Lolita, Lyon starred in a handful of horror, thriller and science fiction films, including To Love, Perhaps to Die (1973), The Magician (1973), Crash! (1976), End of the World (1977) and The Astral Factor (1978). The final acting credit in her career was a small role in horror flick Alligator (1980).

Her other credits include The Night of the Iguana (1964), Tony Rome (1967), Evel Knievel (1971), "Police Story" (1978) and "Fantasy Island" (1978).

We here at Crypt Teaze extend our deepest condolences to Lyon's family and friends.
