A sequel 2016's indie hit Terrifier is currently in production in New York from writer/director Damien Leone, and a bloody and chaotic new teaser image of Art the Clown (played by David Howard Thornton) was recently uploaded to the film's official Facebook page in celebration of the holiday season. Check it out below!
The photo was uploaded with the following caption: "Happy Holidays from the cast and crew of Terrifier 2!! Sorry we haven't been in touch for a while but we are super busy filming this insanely ambitious horror movie. It's still a little too early to release BTS material but since you guys are the best...here is a little tease!! Wonder what could be going on here?!"
According to David Howard Thornton, the image is taken from a scene that "rivals the hacksaw scene." This makes sense, as Leone recently promised Terrifier 2 will be "the merciless, no holds barred follow-up you’ve been hoping for."
In the sequel, after being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. As the body count rises, the siblings fight to stay alive while uncovering the true nature of Art's evil intent.
Terrifier 2 will also star Lauren LaVera (Clinton Road), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Jason Lively (Night of the Creeps) and Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers).
The film is currently planned for an October 2020 release. Stay tuned to Crypt Teaze for more updates!
