Mike Flanagan To Direct Every Episode Of Netflix's Horror Series "Midnight Mass"

Mike Flanagan Directing Midnight Mass

Quickly becoming one of the few horror masters of the 21st Century, Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Game, Hush) re-teamed with Netflix for "The Haunting of Bly Manor," and he'll also be working with the streaming service for the new horror series "Midnight Mass," which is gearing up to begin production in Vancouver.

Back in July, Deadline reported that Netflix had ordered the series.

The site detailed, "The seven-episode Midnight Mass follows an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events — and frightening omens — after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. Flanagan will direct and serve as an executive producer alongside (Trevor) Macy. The project has no relation to the Midnight, Mass Vertigo comics."

On Twitter over the weekend, Flanagan also revealed that he will direct all episodes of the series! "Midnight Mass" also appears to have ties to both Hush and Gerald's Game, as it's the book Maddie Young wrote in the former and it appeared in the latter.
