Winner of three Golden Globes (Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for Brad Pitt, and Best Screenplay) and my personal favorite film of 2019, Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece Once Upon A Time in Hollywood arrived on home video back in December, and today we've learned that Tarantino still plans to release a 4-hour cut of the film!
Tarantino tells Collider, "It’s all good. It’s all great. I don’t know if an audience would sit for it, but I love it. So once this whole thing is said and done, maybe in a year’s time, we probably will [release it]."
Back in August, it was reported that the extended cut would be making its premiere on Netflix, much like The Hateful Eight, but only time will tell.
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood earned Tarantino the biggest box office opening of his career, hauling in $40.35 million, and snagged an 85% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: "Thrillingly unrestrained yet solidly crafted, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood tempers Tarantino’s provocative impulses with the clarity of a mature filmmaker’s vision."
In the film, a faded television actor name Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.
