Walking Dead: World Beyond April Premiere

AMC is expanding "The Walking Dead" universe with another spinoff series that's set ten years after the apocalypse and features two young female protagonists and the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. The title for the series was recently revealed as "The Walking Dead: World Beyond" and we've now learned the series will premiere this April!

The 10-episode first season premieres on Sunday, April 12th at 10 PM with subsequent episodes airing Sunday nights at 9 PM EST.

The main show's Season 10 finale will also premiere on the same night. Interestingly enough, we've learned that "World Beyond" is only planned to run for two seasons before wrapping up.

"Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other."

"Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad."

Co-created by Scott M. Gimple and Showrunner Matt Negrete, "The Walking Dead: World Beyond" stars Julia Ormond, Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella.

Rounding out the show’s series regulars in recurring guest roles this season are Natalie Gold, Al Calderon, Scott Adsit and Ted Sutherland.

Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series is executive produced by co-creators Gimple and Showrunner Negrete, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert and Brian Bockrath.
