Hardware and Dust Devil director Richard Stanley‘s adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft‘s short story Color Out of Space will soon be released on home video, and today brings the debut of a new clip from the film via Nerdist.
The clip shows Nicolas Cage as Nathan Gardner driving his sickly wife Theresa (Joely Richardson) to the hospital. Singing and distracted while driving on the dark country road, Nathan and Theresa get an unpleasant scare when they come upon a hideous cat that's been deformed by a extraterrestrial object on the Gardner’s farmland.
In Color Out of Space, "After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm, Nathan Gardner (Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a technicolor nightmare."
