Octopunk Media and writer-director Michelle Iannantuono's feature length gaming horror film Livescream is now available on VOD platforms for rental and purchase, as well as Blu-ray, and today we have the film's trailer to share with you.
In the film, "Gunner Willis ("Ozark", "Vice Principals") stars as Scott, a popular video game streamer. Every day, over 200 loving fans watch Scott play horror games online. After a lifetime of failures and false starts, streaming games is the only thing he’s good at. It’s the thing he loves the most. Until it becomes a nightmare. Enter Livescream – a mysterious horror game sent to him by an anonymous fan."
"At first, he thinks the game is a low quality indie title. But when his followers start dying one by one, he soon realizes the game is far more sinister. Now, Scott will be forced through nine levels of video game hell, each level representing a different horror game niche, in order to walk away alive. It might just cost him his fans, and his soul, in the process."
Iannantuono states that the creation of Livescream was fueled by her love for gaming: "Nearly every creative choice I made for Livescream was inspired by a game, a game player, a game developer, a reference to a popular video, or some aspect of the culture. Over these years I have observed, and felt in my own heart, the deep, intimate connection between streamers and their fans."
Livescream is the winner of multiple festival awards, including Best Director award from the prestigious Nightmares Film Festival, and the film won the Best Feature award from the Wreak Havoc Horror Film Festival.
