After facing off against a sadistic cult led by Jeremiah Sand in Mandy and H.P. Lovecraft mutants in Color Out of Space, Nicolas Cage will next battle possessed animatronics in an amusement park in Wally's Wonderland, which has begun filming in Atlanta, GA.
Cage will be joined in the Kevin Lewis-directed film by "Party of Five" star Emily Tosta (seen below), Beth Grant (No Country For Old Men), Ric Reitz (The Resident) and Chris Warner (Machete), Deadline reports.
Tosta’s character Liv, the film's rebellious teenage lead, joins Cage’s character The Janitor in their bid to survive a hellish night trapped inside an abandoned family entertainment center populated by possessed animatronics.
The screenplay, which was high on the Blood List, is written by G.O. Parsons.
"For me there was always one actor and one actor only who could make this movie work and that actor is Nic Cage," Lewis previously told the site. "I’m thrilled to be working with him and can’t wait to see him go up against Wally and his gang of psychopathic misfits."
"I see this movie as Pale Rider vs. Killer Klowns from Outer Space."
The film will be looking to secure distribution at the European Film Market in Berlin later this month.
