The German-based home video label, '84 Entertainment, is really on a roll lately, with super cool editions of Hellraiser IV: Bloodline and The Toxic Avenger on the way, we've now learned that the company will be releasing a handful of classic horror films, including most entries in the Friday the 13th franchise, Evil Dead 2, and Phantasm II, housed inside retro VHS-style Blu-ray cases!
Films receiving the treatment are:
Friday the 13th Part 2
Friday the 13th Part III
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
Friday the 13th (2009) Killer Cut
Evil Dead 2 (Two Variant Covers)
Army of Darkness (Two Variant Covers)
Phantasm II
Phantasm III
It's also worth noting that the Evil Dead 2 releases will include both 4K Ultra HD and regular Blu-ray discs. From what I can see, all of these will be limited to 500 units each and begin shipping out on February 25th, 2020.
If you can look past the German titles (personally, I don't mind them), these are definitely worth adding to your collection!
