Late last night, director Matt Reeves shared an official camera test for The Batman, which essentially serves a teaser for next year's DC film and offers a first look at the new batsuit that Robert Pattinson will don in the film.
The short teaser showcases Pattinson's Batman in a red lighting, a color that not many would associate with the iconic comic book character, but with the film's co-star Peter Sarsgaard telling SiriusXM radio last week that this isn't a "sanitized" version of Batman, the color choice could be alluding to an overall darker tone for both the film and its titular character.
Personally, I look forward to Robert Pattinson's portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Pattinson has proven himself to be a solid actor in the years since Twilight, and hopefully this will be the role for many that completely separates him from the glittery vampire stigma that's followed him through his career thus far. Good Time and The Lighthouse have already done so for me.
