Just in time for the holiday season, the one-man industrial pop powerhouse Aesthetic Perfection will be releasing a special three-song covers EP, based on his Cellar Sessions videos which he recorded back in September. The result of a self-imposed challenge by mastermind Daniel Graves, the Cellar Sessions release consists of three covers of songs that vary a great deal from the pulsating rhythms Graves is used to putting out.
The three covers are Orville Peck’s “Dead of Night,” Lana Del Rey’s “Gods and Monsters,” and Billie Eilish’s “when the party’s over.” Each cover was recorded in Graves’ cellar of his home in Austria, using only Native Instrument’s Maschine hardware and software, and all three songs were recorded and sung by Graves in their original keys and octaves, pushing the limits of his vocal range to great success.
You can pre-order the Cellar Sessions EP, available this Friday, December 4th, on Aesthetic Perfection’s Bandcamp page. The list price is just $1 USD, a steal for three songs from any artist, much less one as seasoned as Aesthetic Perfection.
In the meantime, all three of the Cellar Sessions performances are available to watch on the Close to Human YouTube page. Check them out below:
