Last Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw a first-for-the-federation women’s main event, as Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Thunder Rosa settled their months-long feud in a violent Lights Out match. No rules, no sanctions, and anything goes meant these two standouts used steel steps, tables, thumbtacks, and the whole of Daily’s Place to settle their score, before Rosa won the bloody showdown.
No stranger to donning the crimson mask herself, Dr. Britt Baker, even in loss, has now been immortalized in a poster that gives major OG Carrie vibes. Here’s hoping the winner of the match, and former NWA World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa gets a poster all her own as well, but for now, Britt’s Sissy Spacek moment for all to see:
This isn’t the first time that the good doctor drawing blood has turned into an iconic image. Last year, Baker was busted open by an errant knee by now-AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida, which was later turned into a fast-selling shirt on the brand’s ShopAEW.com, which would then become the first piece of merchandise of a female wrestler to be the number one selling item on ProWrestlingTees.com.
Point is… if this poster isn’t posted on either site, bearing in mind that Pro Wrestling Tees powers ShopAEW, by this time Monday, there’s been a gross oversight in AEW’s marketing department.
