Game over, man!
Hoping to ride the wave of success that the Friday the 13th and Predator franchises have had within the last few years, the Alien franchise will be getting its own multiplayer action game later this year. Aliens: Fireteam will be a Colonial Marines-style third-person shooter, as opposed to the stealth and survival horror stylings of Alien: Isolation and the mobile exclusive Alien: Blackout.
The events of Fireteam take place a full 23 years before the events of the main film series, as players will take control of Colonial Marines aboard the USS Endeavor. They’ll take on over 20 different kinds of enemies, including 11 different forms of the iconic Xenomorphs in all different iterations and evolutions. With five different classes of Marine to choose from, this game looks to take on its Predator counterpart in the PvE game.
More information is coming on this title before long, and it is set to be released on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC this summer. Cold Iron Studios is developing in conjunction with 20th Century Studios.
