The bloodthirsty full moon shines with An American Werewolf in London's 4K Ultra HD world premiere from Germany-based company Turbine!
Touted as the "ultimate edition" of the John Landis-directed werewolf classic, the release arrives on November 6th.
The company details, "The film shines for the first time worldwide on 4K UHD with HDR, including a remastered Blu-ray. The sound has been restored and comes out of the boxes in 2.0 or 5.1 (German & English)." They add that the newly commissioned artwork comes from Gabz (Grzegorz Domaradzki) and was "blessed with a very satisfied smile by John Landis."
Bonus Features and Extras include:
On the bonus Blu-ray there are over 6 hours of audiovisual extras, among other things, the documentary ′′The Legacy of the Beast′′ (77 min) and ′′Fear the Moon′′ (98 min)
The 100-page book "Man or Monster" on film history
Slaughtered Lamb beer lid, artcards, posters and stickers.
Plus the original soundtrack worldwide with score and songs on audio CD for the first time
The deluxe 4-disc set is limited to 2,626 units.
Keep in mind that 4K Ultra HD discs are inherently Region Free, but the Blu-ray discs may not be. However, I will say that all of my German Blu-rays work on my Region A player without issue.
