'An American Werewolf in London' Making 4K Ultra HD Debut With Deluxe German 4-Disc Set

The bloodthirsty full moon shines with An American Werewolf in London's 4K Ultra HD world premiere from Germany-based company Turbine!

Touted as the "ultimate edition" of the John Landis-directed werewolf classic, the release arrives on November 6th.

The company details, "The film shines for the first time worldwide on 4K UHD with HDR, including a remastered Blu-ray. The sound has been restored and comes out of the boxes in 2.0 or 5.1 (German & English)." They add that the newly commissioned artwork comes from Gabz (Grzegorz Domaradzki) and was "blessed with a very satisfied smile by John Landis."

Bonus Features and Extras include:

  • On the bonus Blu-ray there are over 6 hours of audiovisual extras, among other things, the documentary ′′The Legacy of the Beast′′ (77 min) and ′′Fear the Moon′′ (98 min)

  • The 100-page book "Man or Monster" on film history

  • Slaughtered Lamb beer lid, artcards, posters and stickers.

  • Plus the original soundtrack worldwide with score and songs on audio CD for the first time

The deluxe 4-disc set is limited to 2,626 units.

Keep in mind that 4K Ultra HD discs are inherently Region Free, but the Blu-ray discs may not be. However, I will say that all of my German Blu-rays work on my Region A player without issue.

You can pre-order An American Werewolf in London on 4K Ultra HD via the Turbine shop today. Shipping to the United States is also available at a rather reasonable rate.
