Following the 4K Ultra HD releases of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2, Scream Factory will be completing the trilogy's foray into the world of ultra high definition with Army of Darkness in 2021!
Scream Factory's Jeff Nelson spilled the beans early, revealing that the company will begin working on a brand new 4K restoration of the film, starting from scratch, sometime next year.
"Well cat’s out of the bag," Scream Factory commented on a Twitter post. "This wasn’t supposed to be revealed quite this way but yes, we’re working on it but we have no additional details as to when we’ll officially announce, when it will release or specifics on the release. Stay tuned!"
In other news, Scream Factory will release their first ever 4K Ultra HD title this December, with John Carpenter's They Live.
