'Back 4 Blood' Has Been Delayed Until October 2021, Open Beta Coming This Summer

Back in December, Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros. Games announced the spiritual successor to the massively successful Left 4 Dead franchise, Back 4 Blood. Reading through the description of the game feels just like the iconic co-op zombie shooter from Valve, though here the zombie infection is known as the Devil Worm. Given that it’s been well over a decade since Left 4 Dead 2, anything resembling it is welcome at this point.

Unfortunately, it will be just a few months longer than originally expected, as Turtle Rock Studios have announced that the game has been delayed. Its original release date of June 18th, 2021 has now been pushed back to October 12th, 2021. That said, the warmer months won’t be without zombie bashing, as the studio would go on to announce that an open beta will be available this summer.

The game will release on Xbox One and Series X|S, Playstation 4 and 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are available on various platforms at this time.
