Indie filmmakers Jon and James Kondelik, respectively known as The Kondelik Brothers, have announced the theatrical release for their horror feature, Behind the Walls.
The film will be making its theatrical drive-in debut in Austin, TX at the Blue Starlite Drive-In June 10th, 11th, 15th, and 22nd. More Drive-In dates will be coming soon. Tickets are available here: https://www.bluestarlitedrivein.com/tickets
Unlike many films playing at your local drive-in, Behind the Walls isn’t being released by a studio. The identical twin brothers are releasing this themselves partnering with local drive-ins.
In the film, "Years it has waited, now someone’s moved in. Through the eyes of the evil within we witness a broken family desperately seeking a new beginning, in a new home, but this house lives, watches and wants them to stay... forever."
"Every Indie filmmaker will tell you that control is a luxury that often is not afforded to them especially when it comes to distribution," producer and director, Jon Kondelik said. "The film has played theatrically internationally and we specifically held on to the North American theatrical rights for a rainy day and now is a good time as any to release our film to the loyal genre fans who crave new content at their local drive-ins."
The 30-minute older brother James added, "We’re not only doing this ourselves to prove we can, but to show the thousands of up and coming filmmakers that they don’t have to be intimidated or scared doing things themselves."
The film stars Vanessa Angel (Kingpin), Hutch Dano (Disney’s "Zeke and Luther", Zombeavers), Reggie Lee ("Grimm", Drag Me To Hell), Lew Temple (Rob Zombie’s 31, The Endless) and Bailey Spry (It Follows).
