Body Count have kicked off their 2021 in massive fashion, as Ice-T and his boys have clinched the Best Metal Performance Grammy on just their second-ever nomination thanks to the blistering track “Bum-Rush.” I can’t physically say or write enough good things about their album Carnivore (review), but there is a new music video out for another track from that banger of an album, so here we are.
And they’re gonna do it… with puppets. Because everybody loves puppets!
Seby X Martinez directs the sock puppet-heavy music video for this song that’s just a little bit of a nod to Slayer. The thrash-tastic number gets a socially-conscious clip with the use of felt fiends and felons, as the music plays with fever and violence. If all you know about the band is that it’s Ice-T’s metal project, brace yourself for a ripping affair, backed by this bloody short film.
Carnivore is out now via Century Media Records.
