It's hard to believe that we're just a little over one week away from the holiday shopping nightmare that is Black Friday, and while it's likely to be a rather quiet affair this year due to the pandemic, there's a new sci-fi horror film in the works that centers around the corporate "holiday" that has us pretty damn excited!
Deadline reports today that Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead series, "Ash vs. Evil Dead", Bubba Ho-Tep) and Devon Sawa (Idle Hands, Final Destination, The Fanatic) have signed on to face both alien and consumer terrors in Black Friday, which also stars Michael Jai White (Spawn, Black Dynamite).
"Set on the busiest shopping night of the year, Black Friday, the story follows a group of disgruntled toy store employees who have to defend themselves from legions of holiday shoppers when a mysterious alien parasite sends them on a murderous rampage."
Directed by Casey Tebo (Steven Tyler: Out on a Limb), Black Friday also stars Ivana Baqureo, Ryan Lee, and Stephen Peck. Andy Greskoviak wrote the script.
Warner Davis of the Warner Davis Company is producing alongside MFW Productions.
Black Friday began filming earlier this week in Boston.
