Genre specialist sales outfit Black Mandala has acquired the Canadian slasher Butchers, and with the acquisition comes a brand new trailer showcasing the most dysfunctional family since The Texas Chain Saw Massacre!
In the film, a family of sadistic butchers has dug into the backcountry and, from the deep freeze of winter to the dog days of summer, anyone who crosses their path is dead meat. A group of friends become stranded in the real-life hell and must fight to survive the attacks of the brutal brothers. Torture and madness will follow.
Written, directed and produced by Adrian Langley (Crook, Gutshot), Butchers stars Simon Phillips, Michael Swatton, Julie Mainville, Anne-Carolyne Binette, James Hicks, Nick Allan, Blake Canning, Samantha De Benedet, Frederik Storm and Jonathan Largy.
Co-written by Daniel Weissenberger, Butchers was produced by Langley, Doug Phillips, and Kevin Preece with Michael Kraetzer and Nicolás Onetti serving as associate producers.
Although it's expected to premiere this year, an official release date has yet to be announced.
