Fans of Joe Bob Briggs and wrestling were treated to quite a great night this past Friday when AEW's "Le Champion" and Fozzy singer Chris Jericho co-hosted the second half of the Season 2 premiere of "The Last Drive-In" on Shudder, which featured 1986’s Chopping Mall and 1976’s Bloodsucking Freaks.
During the episode, Jericho expressed his undying love for the immortal Troma classic and if that wasn't already enough, he debuted a brand new music video tribute to the film during the show, a horror-punk tune track titled "Bloodsucking Freak".
Written and produced by John Brennan, the song features Jericho on vocals and guitar solo work by Levi White. Of course, Joe Bob and Darcy the Mailgirl also appear in the video.
Even cooler, Ship To Shore PhonoCo. have pressed The Last Drive-In "Bloodsucking Freak" Soundtrack EP on limited-edition 7" brain-matter-splatter vinyl featuring Yannick Bouchard's "Drive-In of Darkness" artwork! The vinyl features the track below, coupled with Brennan's original acoustic demo.
Watch the video for "Bloodsucking Freak" below and tune in to Shudder Fridays at 9pm ET for new episodes of "The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs."
