Cleopatra Will Play A Gruesome 'Game Of Death' This Summer

Game of Death Cleopatra Entertainment

Following its premiere at SXSW 2017, Sebastien Landry and Laurence “Baz” Morais' Game of Death has finally found a home at Cleopatra Entertainment, who will release the film in limited theaters and on VOD platforms this coming summer.

Imagine if Jumanji made you kill people. That’s the impetus behind the film, as a group of millennials find themselves playing a board game where they have to kill (or be killed) to survive.

Described as "Jumanji meets Natural Born Killers," Game of Death is "a schlocky gore-horror comedy plump with exploding heads, torrents of blood and torn apart torsos."

"Kill or be killed is the golden rule of the Game of Death. Sucks for seven millennials who ignored that rule. Now each one’s head will explode unless they kill someone. Will they turn on each other to survive, or will this sunny day be the last for the innocent people of their middle-of-nowhere town?"

Landry and Morais co-wrote Game of Death with Edouard H. Bond and Philip Kalin-Hajdu, The film stars Sam Earle, Victoria Diamond, Emelia Hellman, Catherine Saindon, Nick Serino, Erniel Baez D., Thomas Vallieres, and Jane Hackett.
